I just had to share this with people who would recognize the pattern. This just came over my local Freecycle group:

I have the Ninth Edition of the Civil Engineering Reference Manual for
the PE Exam by Michael Lindeburg. Other than a few pencil marks the
book is in very good condition.

Pick up would be in Emeryville. Alternatively, I could meet up in SF
financial district but prefer not to lug that (big heavy) book around.

And if he took BART to the city...SF isn't nearly as old as London, but it's busy enough I'd bet there's a Gate or two about.
